Paloma Pascual writes....and shares "Dougie MacLean - Caledonia"

• I love this text written by Robert L. Stevenson. There's beauty in
this stream of feelings and memories written from the heart. For
those of us who are not Scottish but have spent some time there,
the sounds and feelings are no doubt different, but they are still
there:
• The view and sound of the water in Loch Lomond from the boat
• Churches converted into pubs?!
• For the best laugh ever (from Hillhead to Buchanan station)
• The taste of cullen skink and haggis at the Babbity Bowster (sorry
to the literati! Maybe not the best day to concentrate), and to the
boy who bet ( and lost!) 5£ trying to guess our accent...you
should've asked first. So sorry!
• Caledonia played by Dougie McLean
• Todd's corner: laughs and a good chat no matter what time
• The never ending light of the Scottish sky
• All those nice people who talked to us in the street, trying to
be helpful or just amiable ( Luss was a must )
• The Scottish accent (still something to be fought against); but
the world is full of Englishes ( to the Chinese and Italian
accents, best greetings)
• The Aldi moments, the singing moments, the learning
moments, and the working moments (above all that afternoon,
full of ideas and enthusiasm) and many other moments...
• For my friends and colleagues Paloma, Consuelo and Marta.
